Is Prodigy The Most Complete Pre-Workout EVER???

Why do we say that, Simple? It has stimulants which rival the most strong energy based supplements and Pump based ingredients which surpass the majority of the pump products available, so to summarize it’s two products in 1.

PRODIGY™ INTELLIGENT DESIGN

The World’s Most Advanced Preworkout

  • MAXIMUM Energy & Focus
  • MAXIMUM Strength & Power
  • MAXIMUM Pump & Vascularity
  • FULL DISCLOSURE label…NO B.S.

IN OUR QUEST TO ENGINEER THE PERFECT PREWORKOUT, WE HAD TO BREAK SOME RULES AND GO AGAINST THE TRADITIONAL MODUS OPERANDI.

Let’s face it, preworkouts are a dime-a-dozen, but in a marketplace crowded by an abundance of mediocre products, the only distinction between any of them is the marketing hype. All play by the same set of rules established for one main objective…MAXIMUM PROFIT. At PNI, our main mission is “Performance Over Profits”. What does that mean? Simple, we put quality and excellence before the pursuit of profits. Sometimes that means making sacrifices in margin to produce the best designed supplements that deliver real world results.

THE 4 RULES OTHER’S PLAY BY [BUT WE HAD TO BREAK]

1. Hide under-dosed ingredients with a Proprietary Blend
Prop blends allows a company to hide how little they actually put into the product, this is called “Pixie Dusting”. PRODIGY will have a fully disclosed label with each ingredient and the amount of each ingredient.

2. Use marketing buzzwords to conceal inferior qualities of the product and portray them as strengths.
Does your PRE use marketing terms like: “Ultra Concentrate”, “Micro Dose”, or “Extreme Potency”? This could be hiding the fact that there is little to virtually none of the active ingredients and mostly inexpensive stimulants that only require a few milligrams. PRODIGY contains full doses of performance yielding ingredients. Take a look at our scoop vs. their’s!

Prodigy

3. Keep your cost of goods (COG) As low as possible
Most of the “mainstream” brand preworkouts cost bugger all to produce. This gives them the advertising budget for the fancy magazine ads, big glitzy booths at trade shows, oh…yeah, and the Lambo the CEO drives around and posting on social media. Our COG’s are as much as what these other brands sell for, but we sacrifice the margins to make PRODIGY both effective and affordable.

4. Keep It Simple (and sell to the) Stupid.
Don’t “over engineer” your products. Put in the bare essentials and sell them add-on’s to compensate for its inadequacies. NOT US…PRODIGY is the most comprehensively formulated PRE on the market, and covers all your bases. It contains fully dosed ingredients and is the equivalent of buying all these in 1 product:

  • Focus/Nootropic supplement
  • Hemodilator/Pump supplement
  • Energy/Endurance supplement
  • Fat burning supplement

Best PWO of 2016 (as of Nov 1 anyway). Bold call? Maybe. Its expensive but its good. A good burst of clean energy, amazing focus, strength and an insane pump. Tastes good (better than previous Prodigy formulations in my opinion) What else do you want?

Saved this sample for my 4am leg session. Great energy boost, got me through an intense session and I noticed a slight increase in power.
Taste is not great. Gave me good focus. The crash was average after legs. I would rate it as one of the better pre's, I only had a sample size but would likely buy a full size to try. Overall good product.

License to over train!!! I saved this sample to try during a leg workout.... 2 hours of High rep split with cardio intervals later I still had energy, but was a total sweaty Betty! Crashed later in the afternoon, but I think that wouldve happened supplement or no supplement.

Mixed easy with spoon, few gritty bits, not too bad - 8 for mixability

Smells like watermelon with a hint of chemical cherry - was ok, I give it 7.5 for smell.

Overall taste was sweet and fruity, but a bit like medicine youd get as a child - so I give it 6.5 for taste.

Focus, stamina, Energy I give a 10

Yip Id buy it for sure - shame about the taste otherwise itd be a 10 for sure overall

Thanks for the sample for testing.

The flavor was Fruit Punch and it tasted pretty good. Not to sweet and not to strong tasting.

The Intensity and Focus was pretty good.

I got that tingly, itchy feeling about 30min after taking it, which I myself don't really like.

Cheers for the sample :) I got the fruit punch flavour which had a slight chemically tinge, but no worse than any other PWOs. Mixed well and didn't stay frothy like the stuff I've got at the moment. In terms of effectiveness, after about 15 min I felt the beta alanine tingles kick, then I was focused like nothing else, tunnel vision until the end of my workout. Definitely had more energy than usual and managed those few extra reps, but it didn't do that much for pump. Overall it's a solid PWO if you're looking for that focus and energy, and could be a good buy depending on the price.

Doesnt have many ingredients but what it does have is fully dosed.
Felt some nice focus and decent energy similar to that of Ritual.

watermelon tasted nice compared to rival PWO's.

Would def try a tub of this when it hits NZ.

Thanks for the sample, took the full dose. I liked the flavor, was a little kick in it. Today was legs day and with my chicken legs I always feel f##ked at the end. Was also time to add a small amount of extra weight. Found I powered thru my workout faster and with more energy than i normally would. Didn't feel edgy, did feel an extra focus.

Will probably have to buy a tub of this for my next PWO, if it works that well consistently, its the goods.

Based on the product claims.

Focus and Energy-
Based on my experience with this product, i got one aspect of this but not the other. Had some awesome focus throughout the majority of my workout yet the energy boost I needed was somewhat average.

Pumps and Vascularity-
Commenting on this aspect is hard, seeing as though I trained back a never notice much of a pump when training that muscle group. However pump back did feel slightly fuller than normal and even though I try to avoid using biceps as much as possible when doing pulling movements, I ended up with a slight bicep pump on my last exercise. If i were to train chest and arms, i assume this product would deliver on its claims.

Endurance and stamina-

Given the circumstances leading up to my workout, i have to say this pre had a big contribution to my ability to continue training past my lack of sleep and exhaustion. so again lives up to the claims.

Final comments

Definitely a decent product, just lacks the stimulant buzz I prefer, more focus and anti-fatigue/pump based.. In my opinion stacking this with another source of stimulant it could be a killer pre workout.

I got the free sample and chucked it all in. After the first sip I double checked I wasn't using a petrol can. The taste was like drinking petrol from the can. On an empty stomach the effects were felt within about 10mins. Not the most energetic feeling I normally get compared to N.O. explode or Superdrive. Just more the beta alamine tickle. Gave me a headache my whole workout even after drinking two bottles of water. I'm glad it was free

I'm a complete nub when it comes to supplements so I can't comment on the formula but....

What ever is in it works (well for me it did).
Serving size on the sachet was for 1 serve and suggesting a half serve for a tolerance check.

So the full serve went in, the taste was, well not as bitter as many other PWO's I've tried, it actually went down quite easily, mixed well and tasted good (fruit punch).

Got to the gym 20 minutes later and the tingles were in FULL effect, I also noted that it seemed to raise my body temperature somewhat (weather this is part of the formula or not I'm unsure).
I was in the gym for 2 hours and I'd say it lasted a good hour and 15 minutes so if I had a faster workout the effect would be felt throughout.

Overall I'd give it a 8/10

Flavour was pretty good, I don't usually like watermelon but thought it was nice.. Can imagine the flavours I actually do like being a lot better.

As for effects I thought it was a pretty clean nice energy, good focus ect..

Will need to use a lot more for a more detailed review.. But enough said it's a pretty good PWO.

I was lucky enough to receive a sample of PNI Prodigy cheers to xplosiv/ supplementreviews.co.nz :) I really like watermelon so was looking forward to this. ##Taste 6/10, was not bad but had that typical almost acidic/chemically preworkout taste, best to take in sips but not undrinkable. ##Consistency 8.5/10 it mixed pretty well just had a few bits that didn't dissolve. ##Formula umm/10 as I don't really know much that sorta stuff. I like the fact that it doesn't have a whole heap of random things in tiny amounts though (look at Dr CZs description below for better formula info).
### Overall I give it a 7/10. I did get some tingles from the beta alanine, but I seem to get them a bit. Had nice clean energy, it didn't give me much of a rush so I was chilling for 45mins before I decided to do some weights. Once I started though I had good focus and some happy feelings with no crash at the end. The effects didn't seem to last too long though so would be good for an evening workout, but wouldn't exactly get you through the day. I think there are better pwo's but I would consider giving it another go

One of the better pre workouts I have tried lately. Just like their thermo, this PNG product was the goodness. Didn't really get any tingles (even tho 3.2 BA is decent!), but everything else was good. Good pump. Good Stim. GREAT focus.

can't speak much for the flav, but that doesn't bother me. Drink for the gains, not the taste. Everything gets a very solid 9 from me apart from taste

**Taste**: Watermelon 4/10 Not for me at all. I'm not a big fan of watermelon at the best of times but this was fairly rank in general. However given 1g agmatine per serve I can see why. Not fussed about taste, but I've had much better.

**Formula: 8/10**
The first thing that impressed me is the high dosage of the non-proprietary blend. 3.2g beta alanine PER SERVE!?!? Average per serve in other PWOs is around 1.5g. Nothing wrong with 3.2 however the tingles effect might be OTT on 2 scoops. 1g of agmatine which is an excellent dosage. 500mg creatinol-o-phosphate a.k.a COP which Im a fan of (from 12g Shotgun).

Stimwise we have glucuronolactone which benefits both mental and physical performance (did you know its also in V?) , tyrosine for focus, caffeine for stimulant effect, dendrobium not sure why this is in here, any claims for it being a stimulant have been debunked after the detonate /craze debarcle (unless there are interactions which cause it to light up?) and Naringin (extract from grapefruit found in many supplements prevents free radicle damage, increases absorption of other supplements.. awesome!)

For some reason Orchilean was left out of the formula that we received. Ive read 2 different uses for it one was to help to sustain energy while the other was a diuretic, but cannot find as to why it was taken out of both Prodigy and Thermadex products.

**Overall: 8/10**

To be honest, even with a pretty solid looking profile I wasn't expecting too much from this one. I was a tad intimidated by the high beta alanine dosage as I cannot stand the tingles however I felt next to none. The stand out for me was the focus. Stimulation-wise I didn't feel a huge surge of 'aight time to go lift shit' but I did feel dialled in. It didn't have too much effect on my mood, just concentration. Infact for my workout (military press as part of my 531 program) I just seemed to blaze through it in no time. Performance wise I can't add too much here as I am carrying a niggling shoulder injury which I'd hoped to push through but alas by the time I got to my last 2 sets it was fairly creaky and sore.

Happy with this pre workout. Not blown away, but happy.

Thanks xplosiv / supplementreviews.co.nz for the sample!

As with the majority of pre workouts it tasted like The typical fruit punchy shyte which is just the way it is with most pwos that I've tried recently.... taste 4/10 but Ive come to find taste should be the last thing to judge a product on

Formula - 10/10
The formula is fairly simple, a good dose of Beta alanine creatinol o phosphate agmatine dendrobium
And caffeine to name a few, enough of each to give you a good amount of focus and energy

I used this PNI prodigy sample on a 12 km run as a trial of efficiency during aerobic endurance exercise, it certainly helped to fuel my fire within 15 minutes of consuming I felt a slight tingle and proceeded to start running, by the 6th km I had to slow myself down a bit (similar to ritual) in fear of overtraining

By the 12th km I felt a slight all over swole full body pump just from running, not to the point of full tight restricted hypertrophy pump, just a nice swoleness about it. Got home and had enough energy to do 4sets x8 front squats, 4x8 db lunges 4x8 mil presses and 3x 8 db side lat raises which I wouldn't normally do or have the energy for on a run day

Overall I liked it....only a slight B.A. tingle not too buzzy stim faced, nice constant release of energy, no jittery tremors or heavy post crash like pre workouts of the past, the only downfall i found with it, was the taste

Would buy this product if it comes out with better flavours (or a non flavoured version would be better), when it lands in NZ, depending on price per serve

Sampled the watermelon flavour which was drinkable and the taste was definitely watermelon but was a little chalky. Didn't get a huge amount of stim on this product nor did I really feel the effects of the 3.2g of beta alanine BUT the two things it really did deliver on were pump and focus which were both impressive for a single serve. Had a really good workout on it and would definitely use this again depending on the price.
