HIGH LEUCINE CONTENT - 5 GRAMS PER SERVING!
Countless research has shown that leucine is the key amino acid for activating muscle protein synthesis. Amounts as low as 1.8g (in combination with EAAs) have shown to be effective, with more commonly researched amounts around 2.5g (in combination with BCAAs), and the high amounts in the 3.6g range (alone, and in combination with EAAs).
We don’t mess around with Amino IV -- 5 grams of leucine per serving, and 30 servings per bottle makes Amino IV a cost effective leucine source, before we even get into the perks of the rest of the formula!
UNLOCKING THE POWER OF LEUCINE - ENRICHED EAAS
What is every amino product built off these days? Branched chain amino acids (BCAAs). BCAAs are key ingredients to consume no matter what type of athlete you are: Bodybuilding, powerlifting, long distance runner, or sprinter. If you work your muscles…BCAAs should be a go-to supplement.
But the majority of the BCAA products on the market are just that...BCAAs, not a whole lot else. There are a few industry-funded BCAA studies out there with good results. But we feel these products are missing something essential...literally!
The body runs off what we call Essential Amino Acids. These are amino acids that your body cannot make on its own. They must be consumed via diet. You see, when your body goes to make new protein, like the protein that make up your muscles, it requires that all of the 9 essential amino acids be present, not just the 3 BCAAs.
Your body starts by making muscle protein to build muscle mass. It incorporates the BCAAs into the growing protein chains, and then your genetic code calls for an essential amino acid. So what happens if you don’t have EAAs present?
- The new protein is terminated. You simply do not benefit.
- Your body breaks down a pre-existing muscle protein (known as “catabolism”) in order to get the missing amino acid. The net effect is loss of muscle mass.
Now most of us should have sufficient EAAs if we are on high protein diets, but if you are going to be taking a supplement with leucine or BCAAs, why just assume you have sufficient amounts already in your body? We created a product that provides each essential amino acid in every serving.
Probably the best Amino product I've tried bar AminoHP from ANS. Tasted both Blueberry Blast and Mango and they're both super legit, though I do rate Mango above Blueberry. BCAA ratio isn't great, as there should be some balance between them, but it's still a great product all round, and as for the 90 serve, the price just can't be beat.
Personally didn't think the flavour I tried was great.
I think the 10-1-1 ratio is ridiculous.
You barely get any of the 2 other bcaa's with a standard dose, just leucine. But to receive full benefit all the bcaa's work together.
Average product Imo.
Love this stuff. Extremely sweet and tastes like raro sachets! It does leave a bit of grit at the bottom of your bottle but other than that it mixes well. I've had both raspberry lemonade and mango and I loved them both. Very sweet though so if you don't have much of a sweet-tooth I wouldn't recommend this! The formula is far superior to any other amino supplement, this is definitely my go to everyday. I have this in the morning while I'm at work, and before and during the gym, the powder is colourless too which is pretty cool, by far my favourite amino supplement!
Used a tub of this a little while back and found it pretty good. The leucine stacked 10:1:1 ratio means you don't get a lot else per serve so need to double scoop if want to get up to a more useful amount of the other ingredients. Flavour was blueberry and very nice, even if colour free.
PES AminoIV is a fantastic BCAA formula with added EAA & Electrolytes. One of the great things I love about AminoIV is the ratio 10.1.1 high dosage of leucine, preventing muscle tissue breakdown during training & exercise.
I've tried both mango splash and Raspberry / Lemonade and they both taste delicious! I found both the 30 serve and 90 serve very affordable compared to similar aminos on the market.
I would highly recommend PES AminoIV to anyone looking for an amino drink for pre, intra or post workout. It's an excellent product for those that train hard and want results.
Flavoring to this product is excellent, as taking something as an intra that's to sweet gets too much
dosage is good 10:1:1 and added electrolytes
price point is the best part 49.00 for 30 serves ( great value) and triple it 90 serves for 89.00
mango is my favorite
Raspberry lemonade is good for those that don't like so sweet
Recovery wise does a good job with the added electrolytes which really helps and assists in hydration while training
Definitely recommend this
overall as a brand PEScience hasnt gone wrong so far
Recommended to me by David and Kirsty as they know I like products low in sodium and for a BCAA this is pretty good at 70mgs per serve. It mixes so well, better than most I have previously used and it tasted great, not too sweet - I had the Raspberry Lemonade. Great product, good session while taking it and will see what recovery is like tomorrow :)
